Its good to be back. Let's start things up again with Black Widow from the Avengers movie line.
This is a good figure. I like the body but the head looks off to me. Its not a bad sculpt. She actually looks really lovely. But I'm comparing it to her appearance in the movie. There is some likeness. I think her face is a little too thin and sharp. And her lipstick spoils the look for me. Her costume is pretty movie accurate. What I like best are the SHIELD logos on her arms and the widow logo on her belt. They were well painted and you can make them out clearly. No complaints about the paint except for her neck area where you can make out the black underneath her skin. Don't know if its just my figure, the knees are very weak and the ankle joints are very loose. It makes posing difficult.
A closer look at her face. The eyebrows and eye outlines are very sharp. And check out the SHIELD logo. Very nice.
A shot with the Marvel Universe version. They kind of look like a mother and daughter team.
She comes with two pistols. They are made of very soft plastic. The grip in her left hand is too tight for the pistol. And as its so soft, it tends to not point in the direction you want it to. She could use a trigger finger on her left hand. The holsters are a little too small for the pistols. Her gimmick weapon is a grapple launcher. Fandral from the Thor movie line had the same thing, just different in colour. You push a button to launch the projectile and the red areas will open up. You can have her carry it on her back if you like.
Shes got great articulation. The best of all the movie figures I've fiddled with so far. She's got a ball joint neck, ball hinge shoulders, elbow swivel and hinge, wrist swivel, ball hinge hips, thigh swivel, double jointed knees and ankle hinge and pivot.
